Biography Martin Luther King

Have you ever wanted to know about one of the pivotal leaders of the American Civil rights movement? Martin Luther King was one of them, He also was one of the pivotal leaders of the American Civil rights movement.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta Georgia. He die on April 4, 1928 in Memphis, Tennesse.Martin Luther King was a Baptist minister, one of the few leadership roles available to black men at the time. He became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the Montgomery Bus Boycott 1955-1956 and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference 1957 serving as its first president. In 1953, at age 24, he became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Martin Luther King attented segregated public schools in Georgia, graduating from high school at the age of fifteen, he received the B.A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College, a distinguished Negro institution of Atlanta from which both his father and his grandfather had graduated.

In 1954, Martin Luther king accepted the pastorale of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Always a strong worker for civil rights for member of the Executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the leading organization of its kind in the nation.

Today Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest American Civil Rights man, he always fought for equal better life.

Summary:

This is a story about about a little girl in the south named Sarny. Sarny is a slaved on a farm when another slave is bought whos name is Nightjohn. He agrees that he will teach her to read and write in exchange for tobacco. Eventually John runs away, and when sarny is Just losing hope John takes her away to a secret school where he teaches tons of slave children to read and write.

1. Write about a time you sacrified something for someone include your reasoning and feelings?

One day i was in my house and my sister to she told me thyat she wasent gonna go to school and i asked her why? she told me because she was going to see her boyfriend so i went to school and when my parents came they asked me if she went to school and i told them yeah i sacrified for her just to tell them that she did when to school.


2. Pretend that you are John or Sarny write a journal entry about a day in the plantation.

Dear journal, everyday i wake up in the mourning just to go to work in the farm im a one of the slaves im always tired, i wish i could rest for a little while.

3. Characters: Sarny, Nightjohn and Mammy

Sarny: Shes a twelve year old. Sarny is a quiet girl, she is always thinking, she finds that learning to read and write is the best way to can contribute to her own freedom and to her people's liberation comes easily. She knew the things that would get her into trouble and tried her best not to do them.

Nightjohn: Is a slave with a little knowledge of read and write. And he never keep the knowledge just to him. He started to teach young slaves how to read and write, things were not always going right. His master, Waller, found out everything , and punished him by whiping him and cut his toe off.

Mammy: Is the one who takes care of the children


Waller: He's a white reach man and a cruel person.


Setting: In a farm

climax:

Rising action: The rising action is when Waller found sarny writing in the dirt.

Falling action: The falling action is when Nightjohn leave the farm and then he come back to teach

Trapped by Fear

Who is afraid to cross the Mackinac Bridge? How does this fear affect them?

Sometimes its a man, other times a woman. Sometimes they feel dizzy or they cant breathe and they just have to stop.

What are the results of a phobia?

The results of a phobia when a phobia is being afraid when there is really nothing to be afraid of.

How can childhood events lead to phobias?

some of the events are when they drawn in a pool or a beach or when they just cant breathe this is are some childhood lead to phobias.

How can people with phobias learn to live with them?

I think that they learn to live with them by gettin used to it or sometimes they are unaware of fear until they try something new.

Many people have strong fears, called phobias, that greatly affect their lives. This is the main idea of the article. List at least five details that support this main idea.

1. Many people have aviophobia they are afraid of heights and afraid to flying.
2. Also some people have hydrophobia that they are scared of the water they cant even take a shower cuz they are scared or they cant go to the beach because they think they gonna drawn.
3. Others people have claustrophobia they fear of small spaces or being closed in and sometimes they cant be in a small space cuz then they cant breathe they goin to fainted.
4. Some people have ophidiophobia they are afraid of snakes they cant even see them or touch them.
5. Others people have acrophobia that they are afraid of heights.

I think yeah because it talks about all the phobias and it helps many people to see that they can do it that they dont have to be afraid of anything.
